Last updated: June 19, 2026

Article 1 (Application)

These Terms of Service (these "Terms") set forth the conditions for using the applications and web services provided by Twelve Axis Inc. ("we", "us", or "our") (individually or collectively, the "Services"). Users of the Services ("Users") shall use the Services upon agreeing to these Terms. By using the Services, Users are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

Article 2 (Definitions)

  • "Services" means Word List, Kakomon, and other applications and web services provided by us.
  • "In-App Purchases" means purchases of paid features or content offered within the Services.
  • "Content" means word lists, text, data, and other information that Users register, create, or submit in the Services.

Article 3 (Operating Environment)

Users shall, at their own expense and responsibility, prepare the devices, software, network connection, and other environment necessary to use the Services. For the recommended environment, please refer to the description in each Service or on the distribution platform, such as the App Store.

Article 4 (Fees and Payment)

  • Some features of the Services are provided free of charge, and some features and content are provided for a fee (via In-App Purchase or payment on the web).
  • Payment, price display, restoration of purchases, and refunds for In-App Purchases in iOS apps are handled in accordance with the terms set by Apple Inc. (App Store).
  • Payments for web services are processed through Stripe, Inc. or other payment service providers designated by us.
  • The price for paid features is the amount (including tax) displayed on the purchase screen or product page of each Service. Unless otherwise indicated, one-time purchases may be used permanently after a single payment and are not automatically renewed.
  • Refunds after purchase are subject to the rules of each payment platform. Due to the nature of digital content, we do not, in principle, issue refunds; however, we will handle cases individually where the Services have a material defect.

Article 5 (Handling of Content)

  • The rights to Content that Users register or create in the Services belong to the Users.
  • Users shall back up their Content at their own responsibility. We are not responsible for any loss of Content, even if caused by a defect in the Services, device failure, synchronization failure, or the like.
  • Users shall not register Content that infringes the rights of third parties or that violates laws and regulations or public order and morals.

Article 6 (Prohibited Conduct)

Users shall not engage in any of the following acts when using the Services.

  • Acts that violate laws and regulations or public order and morals
  • Acts that infringe the intellectual property rights, privacy, or other rights or interests of us or any third party
  • Acts that interfere with, or may interfere with, the operation of the Services
  • Reverse engineering, copying, modifying, or redistributing the Services, or using the Services in any other manner not authorized by us
  • Unauthorized access, circumventing payment by illegitimate means, or other fraudulent acts
  • Any other acts that we deem inappropriate

Article 7 (Suspension or Modification of the Services)

We may change the content of the Services without notice, and may suspend or interrupt all or part of the Services without prior notice to Users in any of the following cases. We shall not be liable for any damage incurred by Users or third parties as a result.

  • When performing maintenance, inspection, or updates of the systems of the Services
  • When provision of the Services becomes difficult due to force majeure such as earthquakes, fires, power outages, or natural disasters
  • When we otherwise determine that provision of the Services is difficult

Article 8 (Intellectual Property Rights)

All intellectual property rights relating to the Services belong to us or the rightful owners. The permission to use the Services under these Terms does not constitute an assignment or license to Users of any intellectual property rights relating to the Services.

Article 9 (Disclaimer)

  • We do not warrant that the Services will fit any particular purpose of Users, have the functionality, accuracy, or usefulness Users expect, or be free of defects.
  • The Services are tools for learning and reference, and we assume no responsibility for the results of their use (such as learning outcomes or calculation results).
  • We shall not be liable for any damage incurred by Users through the use of the Services, except where caused by our willful misconduct or gross negligence.

Article 10 (Changes to These Terms)

We may change these Terms without prior notice to Users when we deem it necessary. The revised Terms take effect when they are posted on this page.

Article 11 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any dispute arising between us and Users in connection with the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the location of our head office as the court of first instance.
